Chime for Change: Giving Women All Over the World Power

Chime For Change is a community of people working to promote education, health and justice for every girl, every woman, everywhere.

 60% of the children not in schools are girls.

800 women die every day during pregnancy and childbirth but 80% could be prevented.

Domestic violence and trafficking massively affect women but women hold just 21% seats in national parliaments globally so how do they change these statistics?

An amazing concert was also organised to raise awareness for chime for change with performances from Jessie J, Rita Ora, Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce headlining it. I  catched the highlights yesterday that bbc cut down to about an hour! Apparently because most of their staff are at Glastonbury which is more of their priority than a great charity. So lots of amazing performances and speeches were cut out grrr. But hopefully lots of awareness was brought out from this concert which was streamed live in many places.
